REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: 1 August 2026
1. Introduction
This Refund Policy outlines the cancellation and refund procedures applicable to all tours and travel services booked through Save Africa Safaris.
2. Booking Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed only after:
- Receipt of the required deposit, or
- Full payment where applicable.
Until payment has been received, availability cannot be guaranteed.
3. Cancellation by the Traveller
More than 60 days before departure
Guests may receive a refund less:
- Administration costs
- Bank charges
- Non-refundable supplier costs
Between 30 and 60 days
Partial refunds may be available depending on costs already incurred.
Less than 30 days
Bookings cancelled within 30 days of departure are generally non-refundable.
Exceptions may apply where suppliers approve refunds.
4. Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable once booked:
- National park fees
- Conservation levies
- Visa fees
- Flights
- Travel insurance
- Special permits
- Gorilla permits
- Third-party accommodation deposits
5. Changes to Bookings
Changes requested by guests are subject to:
- Availability
- Supplier approval
- Additional charges
6. Cancellation by Save Africa Safaris
Should Save Africa Safaris cancel a booking due to circumstances within our control, clients will be offered:
- An alternative itinerary; or
- A refund of payments received.
7. Force Majeure
No refunds shall be payable where cancellations arise from events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Floods
- Fire
- Pandemics
- Civil unrest
- Government restrictions
- Airline disruption
- Natural disasters
Where possible, we will assist clients in obtaining supplier credits.
8. No Show
Failure to arrive for a scheduled tour is treated as a cancellation.
No refund will be payable.
9. Unused Services
No refund is available for:
- Missed activities
- Early departures
- Voluntary changes
- Unused accommodation
- Missed flights
10. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Processing times depend on banks and payment providers.
